Back in 1984, Russian Military Academy research group presented experimental working prototype of military laser pistol.

The pistol contains pyrotechnic flash bulb which generates initial impulse.

Intel To Deliver 256-core CPU by 2010

I have a friend in Intel who happens to know about Pentium processor design roadmap. According to him, Intel is currently working on 256-core CPU and it suppose to be ready by 2010.
We’ve seen dual core CPU, now, just imagine how fast 256-core CPU would be. Amazing.
