A few days ago Estonian Government decided to dismantle the memorial also known as “The Memorial of Soldier-Liberator”, dedicated to soviet soldiers, who died liberating Estonia from Nazi troops in 1944.
This action is a part of almost 15-year efforts of Estonian government to re-write the history. They already opened memorials dedicated to memory of Nazi SS soldiers, they allowed parades of former SS troopers, at the same time they have banned Soviet symbols treating USSR far worse than Nazi Germany.
What’s going on there, April 26 2007?
Thousands of protesters are on the streets of Tallinn, Estonian capital city. Police forced them off the memorial square with water, gas, grenades and brute force. There are injured people.
Witness says: “I was there. I have no words to describe what I felt, there are no such words. I was able to capture some of the events on my mobile phone, will upload it sometime, but now I can tell only one thing: don’t believe disinformation which will be in tomorrow’s mass media. They will say tomorrow that evil mob attacked police forcing them to defend. I tell you this: people on the square held until last moment. Nobody attacked the police. Everybody just stayed there and shouted slogans. Then police attacked. First they used some gas, then shot the crowd with grenades with tear-gas, then - storm grenades with light effects. Half of the crowd was women.”
Euronews are showing nothing as of now. Like it is not happening.

Witness says: “…there is a riot in the center. Police is acting like animals. They shoot people point blank with resin bullets then beat them up with sticks. He says he saw they beaten up to death one guy. Who is a looter, who is just protester they don’t care, beat everybody up. There so many arrested, they have not enough transportation vehicles to deliver them in jails. Jails are overflown…”.

There are some some people, who are not protesters, but just looters. LiveJournal authors and commentators indicate that looters are some young junkies, who were not on Memorial square and decided to take advantage of the situation while literally all the police (a few hundred men) are on central square and does not control the rest of the city.

The witness’ description is wrong. You can see it on the videos published in youtube for example. “Nobody attacked the police.”. Looking at the videos, you can clearly see alot of people throwing rocks and bottles towards the police. I’d say that the police were the one on the square who held until last moment.
Dismantel? WTF? The monument is just GOING TO ANOTHER PLACE. Please, before you start writing anything, read the facts. Your news are one-sided and wrong.

Wrong, wrong, WRONG! The crowd that started the riot moved from the monument to the other parts of the city center and started vandalizing (it’s common to the barbaric mongols, so np, we understand). There may even be some junkers, but still 99% were russians. Saying protesters to them is even starting to get wrong, they’re more like barbarians who destroy everything on their way.
