Trebuchet 2006

A few enthusiasts from Moscow have built a working copy of Trebuchet (a medieval siege engine, a weapon employed either to batter masonry or to throw projectiles over walls). They spent 2 nights, 25 hours and had a lot of fun seeing it working. YouTube video:

- 13 enthusiasts have decided to build TREBUCHET!!!

- construction was going on for 2 nights illuminated with car lights; it took 25 hours with a few small brakes for songs and sleep.

- after all hard work it’s getting ready for the first launch

- max range was about 300m (1000ft)

- during the construction and shooting no one got hurt

- sometimes it was dangerous…

- nevertheless, all participants returned to Moscow extremely satisfied

- cost of each shot was about $120
