Extreme Design: Napkin Look And Feel

There are many ways to design user interface. Most of people got used to industrial-type design with straight lines, perfected shapes, glass effect, fine tuned gradients and other elements intended to make as expensive as possible impression. But these guys, creators of “Napkin Look And Feel”, went opposite direction: they created cheap-looking, casual and very human interface.

Originally, this interface was created for Java environment (link: Napkin Look and Feel for Swing). However, it can easily (relatively) be ported to web design field.

I think, this kind of user interface over time would be popular as much as jeans / casual style is popular now. It may evolve or be a bit more refined, but it will be there.
